Avionics
The AirserviceIT Spacecrawler 1 is a low orbit and low dimension satellite
The primary objective of the low Orbit Satellite project is to develop and implement a system (Hardware and Software) able to provide a complete and flexible solution to be embedded into the small Satellite Resource with a radio link able to fulfil customer payload data link requirements.
Spacecraft overview and characteristics
Telemetry Station: The antennas 433 MHz & 868 MHz are "dipoles" in micro coax cable so they can extend during parachute opening in the last descending phase of flight GPS Receiver has its own active antenna.
Computing Station: is based on PIC18F2523 Microcomputer.
Air Data computer Station: sensors board with 2x16 bit A/D converters (one for total and one for static pressure), 2x micro-machined pressure sensors, temperature monitor ADC precision within ± 1 meter (depending sensor accuracy).
Radio Station: 433MHz transceiver 10mW, 868MHz transceiver 10mW and provision for 100mW boosters.
Communication Protocol:The communication protocol is based on one way protocol and contains in GPS and telemetry, data packed in 50 ms burst with 38400 bit/sec speed. One message is sent at 434.19MHz and the other at 868.20MHz, GPS data has a 1000 ms update.
Spacecraft overview and characteristics
All the components are integrated in a structure of the standard size of 115mm of height and 66mm of diameter. The mass of the complete Spacecraft, including the recovery system. Not exceed 0,35 Kg.
The recovery system anchorage support 20g´s in the moment of opening. It must be united directly to the main structure. No equipment will stick-out from the diameter of the spacecraft canopy (antennas, sensors, etc) until the Spacecraft leaves the payload bay of the rocket. The Spacecraft device not exceed 115 mm of height, leaving other 115 mm for the parachute folding, antennas or other folding devices.. The Spacecraft detects autonomously the separation from the rocket vector.
